Pension supplement may be paid because of:

• Care cost
• Pharmaceutical cost
• Purchase of hearing aids
• Housing rental falling outside of rental subsidies
• Stay in a group home/shelter
• Electricity cost for use of an oxygen filter

The amount of supplement is calculated based on income and expenses.

Supplements are income related and are suspended if total income exceeds 276.432 ISK per month or if assets in cash or securities exceed ISK 4.000.000 per person.
